ANNUAL ELECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Section 175 of the Town Law, the annual election of the Greenville Fire District will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Greenville Fire District Headquarters, 711 Central Avenue, Town of Greenburgh, County of Westchester, State of New York, for the following purpose:
To elect one (1) Fire Commissioner for a term of five (5) years.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that candidates for this position shall file their names with the Secretary of the Greenville Fire District at least twenty (20) Days prior to the date of such Fire District elections, and in addition, require that such nominations be submitted in petition form signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District. A form of nominating petition will be furnished by the Secretary upon request of any candidate.
The polls shall remain open for the purpose of receiving ballots of those qualified to vote during the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Every elector of the Town of Greenburgh who shall have resided in the Greenville Fire District for the period of thirty (30) days next preceding the annual election shall be qualified to vote for such officer.
