one parking structure on E Hartsdale Ave occupied--another one to be open to residents to park cars
Release Date: August 27, 2011

A short time ago I received a phone call from a resident of E Hartsdale Ave who read my earlier e mail advising that the parking garage on E Hartsdale Ave (in back of the drug store) is available to residents of E Hartsdale Ave and surrounding streets to park their cars. Obviously, a lot of people read the e mail—the parking garage doesn’t have available parking spots anymore. I spoke to Police Chief Joseph DeCarlo and he reached out to Stephanie Kavourias of the parking authority. She will open the gates to the parking garage just north of the train station & Starbucks (next to the train tracks). The lower level sometimes gets flooded but you should be fine if you park your car higher up. Once again – those parking their cars in the garage will do so at your own risk. The structure will not be gated for the duration of the storm. Please remove your cars from the garage after the storm ends tomorrow so that commuters won’t be inconvenienced on Monday.

AGAIN—PLEASE STAY HOME DURING THE HURRICANE. WE EXPECT FALLING TREES. DON’T TAKE A CHANCE.

PAUL FEINER
