The water for Greenburgh Water District customers is safe to drink.
Release Date: September 10, 2011

This evening many Town residents received an automated call from Westchester County regarding a problem with the drinking water. The problem is not with water provided to customers of Greenburgh Water District.

The water for Greenburgh Water District customers is safe to drink.

The Town requests residents conserve water this weekend by not watering lawns or washing cars. We ask this as the Town is providing water to the Villages due to a condition with the Catskill system, not associated with the Town of Greenburgh supply.
We apologize for any confusion this call may have caused and will seek ways to better inform in the future.
