H MART OPENING SOON...NYTIMES ENDORSES TAPPANBRIDGEPARK...ZONING MAPS TO BE REVIEWED...

H MART OPENING SOON---H MART will be replacing Pathmark on Central Ave in Hartsdale very soon. The sign stating H Mart was placed on the building yesterday. The Building Department advises that the supermarket should open within the next two weeks! They are also looking for employees. So, if you are out of work contact them.

The Town Board approved the following resolutions at Tuesday's Town Board meeting....

 

TB 1 – 2/28/12--ASKING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE TO REVIEW ALL ZONING MAPS...

Resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Greenburgh to have the Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee and the Department of Community Development and Conservation review the Zoning Map of the Town of Greenburgh and any amendments related thereto since 1980 and report any recommendations for changes to the Town Board for further consideration

TB 2 – 2/28/12--CALLING FOR MASS TRANSIT TO BE PLACED ON THE TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE...

Resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Greenburgh echoing the sentiment of the Northern Westchester Energy Action Consortium, the Tri-state Transportation Campaign and over 25 environmental, good government and labor groups calling on Governor Andrew Cuomo to restore dedicated public transportation infrastructure to any and all plans for the replacement of the Tappan Zee Bridge, connecting communities and businesses in Rockland and Westchester Counties

TB 3 – 2/28/12--CALLING FOR THE CLOSURE OF INDIAN POINT...

Resolution of the Town Board of the Town of Greenburgh calling for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to reject the relicensing applications for the operation of the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plants for an additional twenty-year period, to refrain from granting the Entergy Corporation any extensions to current licenses at Indian Point and to order the closure of Indian Point 2 and Indian Point 3, in years 2013 and 2015 respectively, when the current licenses expire.

TB 4 – 2/28/12 Resolution approving, with conditions, the Special Permit Application of Sadiqali Chandrani for operation of a Gas Station Convenience Store in excess of 800 S.F. (1,600 S.F. proposed) to be located at 381 Knollwood Road (Parcel ID: 7.410-228-14)
