The Friends of the Greenburgh Library are holding their annual book sale at the library. There are lots of great books for sale. The turnout on Saturday was fantastic. If you want to buy some great books at amazing prices stop by at the Library on Sunday. You won't be disappointed.

Cumberland Farms to Receives approval on Central Ave to open up gas station/convenience store. Cumberland Farms received final approval to open up their gas station/convenience store on Central Ave near Old Army Road. Some conditions to the site plan approval:
(1) The gasoline service station shall continue to be suitably screened from adjoining residential
districts and other neighboring uses and provide landscaping amenities along the site's frontage
where feasible, with, including, but not limited to, planted evergreen buffers of appropriate height,
type, spacing and arrangement, shrubs and bushes, or fencing approved by the Commissioner of
Community Development and Conservation. Should such vegetative screening become diseased,
dying or dead, it shall be replaced within the next growing season.
(2) the applicant replace or repair existing fencing in kind along the site’s east and north property
boundaries;
(3) the applicant replace existing any sidewalks in disrepair along the site’s frontage, with new
sidewalks containing defined curbing and establishing a clear distinction between spaces for
pedestrians and spaces for vehicles subject to NYSDOT approval and should not bind the
applicant to carry out a right-of-way dedication.
