Greenburgh Town Hall to be open till 7 PM on Tuesday so you can pay your town, county and fire district taxes.
You can also pay taxes by credit card and on line. Taxes are midnight April 30th, to avoid penalties. The town of Greenburgh acts as a tax collector for the county and fire districts --as well as the school district. These other entities are independent of the town government. The town guarantees the school district and county government 100% of the taxes -whether we collect them or not. About 17% of your entire bill consists of town taxes. If you reside in a village about 2% of your entire tax bill is from town taxes.
