Drug Collection Unit

 View Printable News Story  --  The Greenburgh Police Department in partnership with Westchester County would like to announce the placement of a “Drug Collection Unit” in the front lobby of Police Headquarters’, located at 188 Tarrytown Road. 
 
Unused or expired medication can pose a risk to children, family members and the environment. It can also be misused or abused, leading to serious complications, overdose and even death
 
This unit was installed to enhance the ability to safely dispose of unused or unwanted prescription medication and over the counter drugs
 
The Drug Collection Unit is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
 
The following items will not be accepted

  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Thermometers
  • Needles (sharps)
  • Medication from businesses or clinics
  • Aerosol cans
  • Ointments, lotions or liquids
 
We encourage you to utilize this community drug take-back program that allows the public to bring unused drugs to a central location for proper disposal.
