YOUR HELP WANTED IN LOOKING FOR SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY

The Village of Scarsdale Police Department is investigating two residential burglaries. On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at approximately 4:00am, an unknown person(s) entered the occupied residence at 75 Popham Road, Scarsdale, N.Y. The homeowner was sleeping in the upstairs bedroom at the time of the burglary. The homeowner awoke and observed a tall, thin-build male (unknown race) standing over her bed with a bag over his shoulder. The suspect entered the residence through an unlocked rear door and exited the residence through the same door. The suspect removed credit cards, jewelry, a NYS driver’s license, and house keys. Two knives were recovered near the point of entry/exit. The knives were removed from the kitchen of the subject residence. On the same date, the homeowner’s vehicle was also entered, it had been left unlocked in the driveway. NOTE: THIS RESIDENCE IS APPROXIMATELY ¼ MILE FROM THE INTERSECTION OF ARDSLEY ROAD AND THE BRONX RIVER PARKWAY.

On Thursday, August 1, 2013, at approximately 3:00am, an unknown person(s) entered the residence at 1 Highland Way, Scarsdale, N.Y. 10583. The suspect(s) entered the occupied residence through an unlocked front door. Stolen in the burglary was cash, credit and debit cards and a Toshiba laptop. NOTE: THIS LOCATION IS LOCATED JUST OFF THE BRONX RIVER PARKWAY. DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM PIPELINE DRIVE.

The Scarsdale Police Department is also investigating several larcenies from unlocked vehicles

which occurred on the above streets during the same time frames.

GREENBURGH RESIDENTS ARE ASKED TO PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO ANY SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY AND TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM BECOMING CRIME VICTIMS: LOCK ALL RESIDENCE AND VEHICLE DOORS AND CALL POLICE TO REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY
