FAST SWIM TEAM COMPETITION- CAME IN 5TH (4 SWIMMERS!)...MILLENNIALS MEET ON TUESDAY
Release Date: July 31, 2014

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO RACE THREE FAST SWIM TEAM MEMBERS AND TO COME OUT IN 5th PLACE?
Earlier today I competed against three Fast swim team members at the Theodore Young Community Center pool. I had challenged three  9 and 10 year olds to a race. Saatiya Naik, Payton Schales and Pablo Salmar accepted the challenge. And.........beat me. Although Saatiya, Payton and Pablo are much younger than me - they were so fast that it wouldn't be fair for me to accept 4th prize out of 4 swimmers. When they completed their 4th lap around the pool, I hadn't even completed 2 1/2 laps.

Are you a recent college graduate or a college student? Looking for employment? Elizabeth Skovron, an intern in my office, has been working hard this summer helping Millennials make the transition from college life to successful careers.  On Tuesday evening, August 5th at 7 PM to 9 PM the 3rd in a series of Millennials in transition meetings will be held at Greenburgh Town Hall.
NETWORKING EVENT: Empowering Millennials in Transition

Empowering Millennials in Transition is a collective initiative designed to help each other during our transition from college to the “Real World.”

Together we can build our own bridge to help us thrive in our new careers.

Empowering Millennials in Transition is supported by three pillars: empathy, reality and skills. Empathy supports us in that we are not alone. Reality enlightens us to the existence of unforeseen and invisible firewalls that remain as obstacles for us to overcome. Skills will help us identify the firewalls, help us scale them and develop the traction necessary to begin our successful careers.
Whether you are looking for an internship, job or entrepreneurship opportunities, EMIT is worth checking out.
College students, recent graduates and professionals are invited to take part in a networking event on August 5th from 7-9pm at the Greenburgh Town Hall.

Please email eskovron@albany.edu or pfeiner@greenburghny.com to RSVP.
