Family day at Theodore Young Community Center Saturday...E Hartsdale Ave concert series continues...

Family day at Theodore Young Community Center and E Hartsdale Ave concert series tomorrow Saturday!
      The  Theodore D. Young Community Center (TDYCC) will be sponsoring our annual Family Day celebration tomorrow August 9th  at Yosemite Park from 11:30am- after 8:30 PM. 
        Family Day is a unique opportunity for the people of the Town of Greenburgh to come together in celebration of community.  In addition to enjoying good food, fellowship and fun, friends and residents are also afforded the opportunity to meet, greet and get important information from local service providers in the area. 
        We encourage you to be with us this year, as we celebrate the families of this community as our foundation for building a bigger and brighter future for Greenburgh.  The Theodore Young Community Center is located off of Manhattan Ave.  Yosemite Park is located in back of the TDYCC. Playgrounds, interactive water spray area, fields, courts--check it out if you haven't been there!  Lots of family fun!
 
The Forecast is for another beautiful Saturday to accompany the Outdoor Music and Farmers Market, co-sponsored by the Town of Greenburgh, Westchester Greenhouses and the Residents of E. Hartsdale Avenue! Town Clerk Judith Beville coordinates the music concert series.

10:00am:  CARTER THORNTON is a Hartsdale-based composer and instrumentalist. He is a member of internationally touring noise/metal band Gnaw and is a past member of Pigeons, Enos Slaughter, Malkuth and Izititiz. He also performs solo guitar, cello and banjo. His solo guitar LP, Ten Fingers for Forefathers is available on Black Dirt Records. Carter may be accompanied by his four year old son on guitar. 
11:30am:   ROB RAWSON, also a Hartsdale-based composer, guitarist and vocalist and guitarist presenting the sounds of the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and original material.  Rob’s 8/9 performance will include a special tribute to Jerry Garcia!  Don’t miss it!
