Rt. 9A Widening Update - Village of Ardsley
In June, the contractor for the Rt. 9A widening project in the Village of Ardsley will be completing improvements which consists of the installation and completion of drainage work, removal of the existing and now unused traffic signal, preparation work for a new bus shelter, and final paving and striping. When complete, the project will facilitate an extra 1/4 mile+ of new southbound travel lane on Rt. 9A (Saw Mill River Road) towards the intersection of Ashford Avenue and Rt. 9A, which will significantly reduce traffic congestion in this direction, particularly when the Ashford Avenue bridge work is complete.

The project is anticipated to be complete by July 1st. The Town of Greenburgh worked collaboratively with the Village of Elmsford to make this necessary improvement, as traffic in the area has been exacerbated by the Ridge Hill project in Yonkers. This project was primarily funded with funds received as part of the Ridge Hill settlement.
