Wanted - artifacts about Elmsford Little League for their living museum
Release Date: July 19, 2017

We plan to replace the speed humps on Columbia Ave (off of E Hartsdale Ave) next week. The speed humps were designed to address speeding on Columbia. Later this year or in the spring of next year  we will be constructing a new sidewalk on Columbia Ave which will enhance pedestrian safety.

Town of Greenburgh Residents,

1.As you probably know, Elmsford Little League has proudly served the youth of our community for 64 years now. Literally thousands of boys and girls have learned fair play, sportsmanship and the fundamentals of baseball through a program that has been recognized as a stalwart within the region and throughout Little League International.  In addition to instilling positive values, the league has had great success in tournament play, winning a New York State title, just last year in the Senior Division, among many district and section championships.  Alumni of the league include elected officials, professional athletes and community and business leaders in our area.

2.In 2012 the league finished construction of a new field house, to service league operations and serve as a "living museum" to preserve the steeped history of the program.  It is for that purpose that I reach out to you, today in hope that you might have ELL memorabilia that can potentially be added to the league archives and displayed in the field house.  Whether it is old photographs, press clippings, league journals, even old uniforms, caps, pins or patches, Elmsford Little League would welcome the receipt of these items to round out the living history and archives.

3.If you are able to help in this regard, please reach out to Steve Cowles at stevecowles9@aol.com or call him at 914-469-0791.

4.Many Thanks.

  1.        PAUL FEINER
