We always encourage young people to get involved in government. Students –at all different age groups – host cable TV shows and produce and tape their own public service announcements.  Jake Weiss, who is only 9 years old, wants to eventually run for office. He has started to volunteer his time, taping public service announcements. His first PSA is an anti -littering PSA. His sister, Charlotte Weiss (a kindergartener at Greenville School in Edgemont) is acting the part of a  littering child in the you tube video that you can watch. The goal: to discourage people of all ages from making our streets look less presentable.

Jake is  a 4th grader at Seely Place School in Edgemont.  He loves to sing and has been a soloist in the school chorus.  He also loves to sing Bruce Springsteen songs.  He is learning to play the trombone and is a member of the after-school Improv Comedy Club.  Jake is a Mets fan and has made it his mission to visit every Major League baseball field in the U.S.  In his spare time, Jake studies government and politics and hopes to run for office when he’s older.

Charlotte Weiss is a kindergartener at Greenville School in Edgemont.  She loves to sing and dance and has started taking piano lessons.  She has a huge collection of toy horses and toy dogs, and she loves watching movies.  Wonder Woman is one of her favorites.  Charlotte wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.
