There are about 13 locations in town where either trees or wires are down. We expect more trees to fall. Our police and public works departments are working with Con Ed to address each problem.

Con Ed has an interesting link—see below—listing how many outages there are in each community. As of a few minutes ago there were 747 power outages in Greenburgh.

If a tree falls on an active wire, town crews CANNOT remove the tree until  Con Ed says it is safe to do so. Con Ed is trying to address each problem as quickly as possible. Call 1800 75 ConEd.  As always we ask everyone to encourage residents to be cautious, especially if the expected heavy winds come through and bring down power lines. Please consider them live, avoid them and contact Con Ed to report the location.
