Why are some trees blocking roads???
Release Date: January 20, 2006

Some residents have asked—why are some fallen trees still blocking town roadways in a number of locations? Our ability to remove a number of trees is contingent upon the action of Con Ed crews who must disconnect wiring and remove electrical hazards before our crews can begin removing trees. NYS Labor Law prohibits us from having work performed on fallen trees until such time as Con Ed has been able to remove the possibility of exposure to live circuits. PAUL FEINER
