BUDDYSBARKINGLOT PLEDGES TO MAINTAIN DOG PARK
Release Date: March 27, 2006

PROGRESS BEING MADE ON DOGPARK

Eileen Fleming, President of Buddy’s BARKING LOT DOGGIE DAYCARE CENTER IN ARDSLEY has offered to sponsor the full $6000 that Greenburgh needs annually to maintain the dog park at Ridge Road. Last year the town received a commitment of $43,000 from the state to build a dog park. The CountyExecutivepromised to designate part of RidgeParkin Hartsdale (a county park) for a dog park. Eileen has provided me with some additional fundraising ideas that, hopefully,  will enable us to move the dog park effort forward. A meeting has been scheduled for April 24th at AF Veteran Town Park  (MultipurposeBuilding) at 8:15 PM.

MEETING ON 9A BYPASS

The county is sponsoring a follow up meeting with Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Greenburgh, Tarrytown, Mt Pleasant officials to discuss the 9A bypass initiative. The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 6th at 3PMat the CountyOfficeBuilding, White Plains. State officials have also been invited to attend. This is a follow up to a meeting my office sponsored last year –trying to jump start the effort to persuade the state to fund a 9A bypass. The bypass, once constructed, will reduce traffic congestion in Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Elmsford, Tarrytown & Greenburgh.

MEETING TONIGHT—EDGEMONT ASSOCIATION…SIDEWALK AT SEELY PLACE

Town officials will meet tonight at 7 PMto discuss, with residents of SeelyPlace, the possibility of constructing sidewalks on SeelyPlace. Some civic association leaders in Edgemont have been pushing for the sidewalks. I have received e mails from residents on SeelyPlaceobjecting to the proposal. We will discuss the proposal with SeelyPlaceresidents and conduct a walking tour of the street. After the meeting, at 8 PM, there is a meeting of the Edgemont Civic Association.
