Although not a certainty, it is believed that the President will declare Westchester County a disaster area.  Such a declaration will make federal money available for flood damage mitigation.  In contemplation of this, residents and business owners are encouraged to keep all receipts for expenditures related to flood damage mitigation including receipts for hotel/motel accommodations, car rental, cleaning costs, appliance replacement, plumbing, electrical expenses, etc.  These will be necessary to make a claim after a declaration is made.  Please check this website periodically for additional information.
