OPTION AGREEMENT SIGNED TO PURCHASE TAXTER RIDGE

GOOD NEWS! The option agreement allowing the Town of Greenburgh to purchase approximately 183 acres of environmentally sensitive land along Taxter Ridge has been signed by the owners of the property: the Unification Church. The agreement calls for the sale of the property to the town of Greenburgh, the state of NY, and Westchester County. The cost will be spread equally to each owner. Once the acquisition deal closes our open space acquisition will have increased from about 224 acres when I first took office to over 600 acres now. I'm hoping that the acquisition will take place by the end of the year.
