JAYCEES LOOKING FOR MEMBERS

The White Plains area Jaycees is currently being reestablished.  They are looking for residents of Greenburgh to join. 
 
The Jaycees is the nickname given to the United States Junior Chamber. It is an 83 year-old organization, which was established to provide young men and women aged 21-39, opportunities to develop leadership and personal skills through service to others. The Jaycees have been a force of good in America and around the world. The Jaycees helped establish the US AirMail Service with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh, and they have raised millions of dollars for causes like the March of Dimes and Muscular Dystrophy Association. They have also built parks, playgrounds, ballfields, hospitals, housing for the elderly, and many service and support programs in thousands of local communities.
 
People also join the Jaycees for the following reasons:
 
1) Meeting new people/networking
 
2) Building confidence
 
3) Developing new business
 
4) Management skills
 
5) Public speaking
 
6) Pride in their community
