We're studying the possibility of the formation of a sidewalk snow removal district in different areas of the town. Members of the district would absorb the costs of snow removal on sidewalks within the area -removing the obligation from adjoining property owners as has been the case. This will reduce the controversy over new sidewalks and increase safety. In recent week residents who live near Ft. Hill have advised me that they would like the town to place sidewalks on Ft. Hill Road. This recommendation is being made as a follow up to this request.
