GOOD NEWS ABOUT BONE MARROW MATCH---TENTS FOR HAITI
Release Date: February 02, 2010

Last month, after receiving a call from James Robinson of the TDYCC,  I posted info about Tatyana Abrams, the 11 year old girl who needs a bone marrow transplant. Hundreds of people went to the Theodore Young Community Center to be tested. GOOD NEWS! THE BONE MARROW REGISTRY HAS A 100 PERCENT MATCH FOR TATYANA ABRAMS. A special thank you to the hundreds of people who were tested or have tried to help Tatyana survive. This is what community is all about.  Thank you to the leadership of the Theodore Young Community Center and the employees who donated their time so that the testing could take place.

PRESIDENT CLINTON WILL BE TAKING TENTS TO HAITI THIS WEEK--Danielle Butin of Afya reports that former President Clinton will be taking donated tents to Haiti this week. If you have a tent and bring it to town hall, we'll make sure that Afya gets the tents/sleeping bags to the right people in Haiti. Thousands of Haitians have no shelter. Temporary tent communities will make life a little better for some of the survivors of the earthquake. E mail pfeiner@greenburghny.com if you would like to donate a tent.
