Waterwheel signing postponed...proposed film/television studio
Release Date: February 23, 2010

WATERWHEEL CONTRACT POSTPONED
The Greenburgh Town Board has decided to postpone the waterwheel sale contract signing (originally scheduled for tomorrow evening)  because additional issues with that contract have to be resolved. We are working with Ardsley officials to turn the property into affordable housing opportunities for volunteer firefighters/ambulance corp members.
HOLLYWOOD IN GREENBURGH
At the Town Board work session this morning Matthew Goldman discussed an interesting land use proposal with Town Board members-- he would like to build a film/television studio in the town of Greenburgh. This could create jobs, would have no negative impact on schools (schools could benefit from real world experience and education). Hotels in Greenburgh would get more business since productions will use hotels to house crews and actors during filming. Other local businesses would benefit from the business created by those involved in the production.  There are 110 jobs per sound stage, on average.

Hollywood in Greenburgh---may be coming to Greenburgh! Possible location: Landmark at Eastview (near Regeneron and Madison Square Garden training facility).
