Release Date: May 02, 2010

Join The Great Saw Mill River Clean-Up! Saturday: May 15, 2010 10:30am-1:30pm, Multiple Locations Be part of a group of volunteers (families, civic and youth groups, businesses) throughout the Saw Mill River watershed, from Yonkers to Chappaqua, bagging trash from streets, parks and streams, and connecting with neighbors and the outdoors. It’s fun, practical, meaningful, and easy. You gather some friends and we provide the bags and other treats to help you go for it! We will also have native flowers to plant in the cleanup areas! Groups will be working at various sites from 10:30am-1:30pm. Groundwork Hudson Valley will be providing tools, bags, and gloves. This will be a great opportunity to get involved with not only improving the Saw Mill River for the people, plants, and animals that use it, but also prevent the trash from flushing out into the Hudson River. To get started, register here or view more information on our website at: http://greatsawmillrivercleanup.eventbrite.com or call Emily at 914-375-2151.
