FEINER TO GIVE BACK $952.60 OF HIS SALARY

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feinerwill give back $952.60 of his 2003 salary for not meeting all his goals. Each year Feiner places $5000 in escrow. At the last meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board the Board evaluates the Supervisor and determines how much of the salary should be returned. This is the largest dollar amount that Feiner is returning since he started basing his performance on pay. 3 goals were not met  (Demolish the old Town Hall…draft legislation enabling volunteer police, fire, ambulance corp members to receive extra points on civil service exams when taking police/fire exams…place speed humps on streets). Feiner received partial credit for achieving 14 of the 51 goals.

Feiner has also posted a first draft of his 2004 goals on the web site.

Feiner said that he expects to base part of the salary of management on performance in 2004 and is developing criteria.
