PIPELINE TO REOPEN WITHIN 30 DAYS

Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feinerreceived a letter from the countyCommissionerof Public Works today advising him that the county has agreed to listen to the request of Edgemont residents and town officials to reopen the entrance ramp from Pipeline Roadto the Southbound Bronx River Parkwaywithin 30 days. After reopening, the county, with the cooperation of the Town of Greenburgh, will continue to monitor this ramp on a regular basis to insure that the operating characteristics for both the ramp and mainline parkway traffic have not deviated from the norm. The county reserves the right to close this entrance on a permanent basis should such a deviation occur. The county will coordinate the reopening with the Greenburgh Public Works department to clear the roadway, remove the signs and barriers as well as install the necessary signage on the Bronx River Parkwayto facilitate the return of traffic to the entrance.
