SHOPRITE OPENED TODAY
Release Date: January 06, 2011

Shoprite opened their new supermarket on Ardsley Road/Central Ave today. I stopped by to wish the management good luck. The supermarket was packed with people (that’s an understatement). I am pleased that new businesses are choosing Greenburgh. A draft comprehensive plan will be released soon –which will outline ways the town could be more business friendly. Empty storefronts = more certiorari’s.

The phone answering system at Greenburgh Town Hall was down. We’re working hard trying to correct the problem. If you called my office and tried leaving a message, sorry for the inconvenience. You can always call me on my cell: 438 1343. The problems should be corrected soon.

Last week we repaired a part at the new library –addressing heating problems. Tomorrow a new part should be installed at the children’s section of the library. So, the heating problems that have existed at the library for the past month should be repaired.  We are going to conduct a comprehensive review of the library heating/air conditioning system –and are reviewing our legal options.  The new library cost $20 million to build. It’s only 2 years old. There is no reason why a new library should have so many problems.
