NOTES FROM TOWN BOARD MEETING 2/11
Release Date: February 12, 2004

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the Town of Greenburgh to join the coalition opposing the re-licensing of Indian Point 2 and Indian Point 3.

I'm asking the Greenburgh Council of Civic Associations to assist the Town in developing a priority system which will help the town determine criteria for the construction of sidewalks around the town.  We heard from a landscape architect who advised that constructing a sidewalk on Ft. Hill Road (Ardsley Rd to Jackson Ave) will cost over $600,000. We should explore the legality of constructing a footpath, a much cheaper alternative. Ft.  Hill Road is a very dangerous road for people to walk on. They need a footpath or sidewalk.

Will be asking the Public Works Department to consider lighting the section of Pipeline Road that will be reopened shortly--to increase safety. Suggestion originally made by Rod O'Shea.

Will ask the Commissioner of Planning to review our current laws which allow flag lot development. Many in the community object to current law.
