My experiences working in the Town Court
Release Date: February 27, 2004

Last month I initiated a new program—I work in a different department each month for part of a day. Today I had the opportunity to work under the supervision of Deputy Town Attorney Tim Lewis in the Court—observing the adjudication of traffic tickets and other legal matters. Although I was impressed with the hard working employees I was very distressed  at the way the court building looks. There is a lack of space for employees…….boxes are all over the place…inadequate space for files.  The room for Jurors is gloomy, no windows, small –looks like a holding cell. Parking is very inadequate. On a busy court day people park on 119. There is a need for the Town to take a look at our antiquated building. The building needs to be expanded and modernized. Will include funds in my proposed budget for a parking/space study of the Court ($25,000). PAUL FEINER, Greenburgh Town Supervisor
