Town Board approves law increasing tax exemptions

The Greenburgh Town Board recently voted to increase the maximum income thresholds for tax exemptions for seniors and disabled property owners. Those who have an annual income of more than $24,000 but less than $25,000 are eligible for a 45% exemption form taxation. There is a sliding scale that applies to those who earn less than $32,400. Those who earn $32,399 are entitled to 5% off.
