Earlier this year I recommended that the Town Board adopt legislation that would prohibit future development of flag lots in town. Please be advised that the Planning Board discussed the issue of flag lots and their impact on development patterns and the community character throughout the town of Greenburgh. It was the unanimous consensus of the Planning Board that given Greenburgh’s character as a suburban community, the open spacepreservation objectives of the Comprehensive Plan, that legislation be drafted that would prohibit flag lot development within the Town of Greenburgh.
