Garbage being dumped on state roads --an eyesore
Release Date: April 03, 2004

Some state roads are becoming garbage dumps---containing diverse perishable and non perishable types of refuse. Besides constituting an eyesore, it’s unhealthy. In recent months I’ve seen more and more garbage dumped on Grasslands Road, WestHartsdale Ave, KnollwoodRoad, Dobbs Ferry Road, etc.. We will try to address this problem. Will be conferring with the Police Chief, Public Works Commissioner to explore options which could include using county workfare recipients to clean up the mess, establishing “Adopt a Road programs”. Your suggestions are welcome. E mail Supervisor Feiner at pfeiner@greenburgh.com.  Please encourage people not to litter.
