Anna Kisselgoff, dance critic for the NY Times, reviewed the Greenburgh celebration of George Balanchine’s centennial  in todays NY TIMES and called the performance of “Serenade” at WoodlandsHigh School(Warburg campus) “one of the most revealing and brilliantly organized highlights of this centennial year of Balanchine’s birth in Russia.” The event took place this  past Saturday. Student dancers from SUNY at Purchase performed Serenade “with impressive vibrancy and professional polish.”

A special thanks to Greta Levart for organizing the event. Miriam Bernabei and Kathleen Schwartzchild also deserve our thanks for their hard work. And, Rachel and George Guminashould be thanked for underwriting the costs of the program.
