SCARSDALE TREASURER TO BE NAMED COMPTROLLER

James Heslop, Scarsdale Village Treasurer, will be appointed Greenburgh Comptroller at the May 12th Town Board meeting. Mr. Heslop currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Villageof Scarsdale. He previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Finance for the City of White Plainsand was Risk Manager for the Countyof Orange. He has an MBA from MaristCollegeand earned a BSBA from the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.  Scarsdale, under Mr. Heslop’s leadership, maintained their AAA bond rating. Scarsdaleis one of only a handful of communities in the state that has this prestigious bond rating. Deputy Comptroller Doreen Muentener and Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner conducted the search. Paid advertisements were taken in various newspapers, including the NY TIMES. 92 resumes were received. 13 interviews were conducted. Mr. Heslop is expected to assume his duties after Memorial Day. His salary will be $120,000.
