At last nights Town Board meeting some residents who live near Travis Park complained about the conditions of Travis Park. Among concerns: conditions at the restrooms, need for more benches/tables, cleanliness of the park. Howard Kaplan, Parks & Recreation Board Chair and Richard Garfunkel, member of the Parks & Recreation Board & Deputy Supervisor for Liaisons was present at the meeting. Immediate follow up attention is taking place. Richard Garfunkel today conducted a site inspection visit and will issue a report to the members of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board at their meeting next Wednesday night at 7:30 PM. Howard Kaplan advised me that he has included this item on the agenda next Wednesday (meeting will take place at AF Veteran Town Park Multipurpose Building). In addition, I have scheduled a Town Board meeting at the park on Wednesday, September 8th.
