NATURE CENTER WANTS TO BE ABLE TO HAVE WINE AT EVENTS--
Release Date: April 22, 2012

The Greenburgh Nature Center is one of the town's greatest assets. It's the closest thing to heaven on Central Ave. The Nature Center believes that they could raise some additional revenue if they would rent out the center for weddings and parties. They have asked permission to have wine at these events--something currently prohibited. The Board of the Nature Center also believes that they will be able to generate more revenue from fundraisers if they held events at the Nature Center and allowed alcohol to be served.
The Town Board will schedule a hearing on May 9th to consider this request.
Some disappointing news---Courtney White, the Executive Director of the Nature Center will be resigning in early May to take on a very prestigious new job protecting the environment. Courtney was a great executive director. She will be missed! We are grateful for her hard work.

On another note---tonights rain will provide the town with the first opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of our efforts clearing debris from the Saw Mill River. We hope that the efforts of the town/village of Elmsford will help reduce flooding.
