DISAPPOINTING NEWS--ANTUN'S IS CLOSING
Release Date: May 23, 2012

One of Greenburgh's most popular restaurants is closing. Antun's of Westchester will close its doors on May 31st, according to lohud.com.
Parties that had been booked for the summer have already been notified, said Rich Stytzer. Stytzer’s father, Ron, took over the landmark restaurant 27 years ago.
The restaurant has been in existence since at least the 1930s, and perhaps before, and has seen many incarnations, incluiding as Bill Reiber’s, Reibers Razzberry, The Tale of the Fox and Antun’s Restaurant.
The Journal News is planning an appreciation of Antun’s, and they would like to hear from people who have fond memories of it. Please send your remembrances and photos of family celebrations and special occasions at Antun’s to reporter Dwight Worley, dworley@lohud.com, 914-694-3517.
For me and my family - Antun's will always be fondly remembered. When my nieces were young they always begged my sister and the entire family to take them to their "favorite restaurant-Antun's" on Sunday's. Our family brunches were frequently held at Antun's. And, no one in my family was disappointed.  The food was always great, the staff excellent and friendly and Ron Stytzer, a resident of Greenburgh is one of the nicest people around.  The Stytzer family and Antun's always gave back to the community -- participating in charitable events, helping the Volunteer Fire Departments and other great causes.
I know that Antun's was hurt by the floods on the Saw Mill River. And feel very bad that their business is closing its doors. It's a big loss to our community.
