N. WHITE PLAINS TRAIN STATION MAY GET ADD. PARKING

Metro North and the County Department of Transportation will be holding a meeting on a study they are conducting to focus on parking expansion and station access improvements at the North White PLains Train Station. The meeting: Monday, June 28th at 3:30 PM, Westchester County Center.  Among topics to be studied: shuttle service from Greenburgh (Parkway Homes/Gardens, Valimar, Edgepark, Lawrence Drive, etc..) to the train station. TREES, TREES, TREES
The RoundHill Road tree controversy highlights the need for the town to tighten up our current tree preservation legislation. Current penalties for  illegal removal of trees are much too low. I believe that after the first offense that illegal tree removal should be subject to criminal - not civil penalties....also believe that contractors who remove trees illegally should also be subject to penalties (not just the property owner). Intend to ask the CAC to review what happened at Round Hill Road and to make recommendations so we can have a much better law....
