Subject: Emergency at Water Pump Station
This morning at approximately 11:15 am an equipment malfunction resulted in a release of chlorine gas. For safety, roads around the area are blocked and some residents are evacuated.
One Town employee was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
Currently, Yonkers Fire Rescue with assistance from Fairview Fire and Greenburgh Police Technical Rescue are coordinating entry into the facility to stop the leak.
Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
