Storm on Saturday

I received the following report from the Commissioner of Public Works relating to storm damage from yesterdays storm.  We appreciate the hard work performed by members of our highway department- responding to this storm and other storms.    Thought this would interest you.

Please note that the severe storms passing through our area late Saturday did result in several trees down and road closures.  The Highway Department responded to the first call around 5:00 PM.  By 10:00 PM,  the crews responded to 11 locations of trees or branches down and obstructing a roadway.  All reported work was completed by midnight. Here is a list of roads worked on last night.
 
1.       Park Ave. and Dobbs Ferry Rd. 
2.       Saw Mill River Rd. and Park Ave.
3.       25  Bradley Ave.
4.       Old White Plains Rd.
5.       Secor Rd by Sprain Parkway bridge
6.       Wyndover Rd. and Manitiou Tr.
7.       Wyndover Rd. and County center Rd.    (Low wires were propped up by the DPW - PD was on-site)
8.       Salem Rd. and Mayfair Way   (DPW cleared, but low wires-  Con Ed Notified last night)
9.       44 Wellington Terr.                      (DPW cleared, but low wires-  Con Ed Notified last night)
10.   5 Azalea Ct.
11.   6 Castlewalk
 
We also checked on some flooding complaints, but had no significant flooding areas, including in Elmsford by Brookfield.
