TOWN BD MEETINGS TO AIR LIVE ON THE INTERNET
Release Date: September 14, 2004

GreenburghTown Supervisor Paul Feiner announced that beginning with the Wednesday, September 22nd Town Board meeting –residents will be able to watch Town Board meetings live on the internet (www.greenburghny.com). The meeting on the 22nd will be a test – hopefully the live webcast Board meetings will be functioning perfectly within a few meetings.  People will be able to access Town Board meetings from anywhere – making Greenburgh government even more open and accessible than it has ever been. “I’m proud that we were the first community in the United States to let people phone us live from their home and to participate in Town Board meetings from their living rooms (without being screened). That program has existed for more than a decade. This new innovation will enable people who do not subscribe to cable TV to access their government in action. We’re among the first to initiate this new program.”
Feiner said that the Town Board meeting next week begins at
7:15 PM.
