GREENBURGH TO GO WIFI

GreenburghTown Supervisor Paul Feiner announced that one of his major goals for 2005 will be to bring wireless internet to Greenburgh parks. “We’re going to work hard to go WIFI in 2005,” said Feiner who mentioned that he’d like to see VeteranTownParkand YosemitePark(among others) be accessible to laptop computers. Greenburgh will place small transmitters around the parks, if this concept is implemented, enabling residents to communicate with wireless networking cards. This will be great for families – those who have to work will be able to bring their children to our town pool and do their work at the park.

Greenburghhas been providing leadership when it comes to taking advantage of technology. The town recently became one of a handful of communities in the state that accepts taxes on line…Town Board meetings are being aired live on our web site www.greenburghny.com  beginning with WednesdaynightsTownBoard meeting.
