HASTINGS AFFORDABLE HOUSING...HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Jim Killoran of Habitat for Humanity advised me that work on the abandoned house in our new Taxter Ridge park in the E Irvingtonsection of town will start this weekend ---Habitat is working with the town to turn the abandoned property into an affordable rental for a town employee!  This is the 2nd Habitat project in the town, another home was restored in Fairviewa few years back.

The Greenburgh Town Board unanimously approved a resolution authorizing Supervisor Paul Feinerto execute a license agreement to permit A & F Equities to demolishan existing structure, perform an environmental assessment and to sell 422 Warburton to the Hastingson Hudson Affordable Housing Development Fun for $272,000.  The town owns the property through an in rem foreclosure proceeding.  14 units of affordable housingwill be built.
