Extension of taxes for military personnel

Greenburgh Receiver of Taxes David Dwinellhas drafted a resolution authorizing the Supervisor to permit deployed military personnel residing in the town of Greenburghan extension of 90 days after the end of their deployment to pay taxes without penalty or interest. The law also includes hazardous duty and combat as designated by Presidential executive order. The Greenburgh Town Board met in work session on Tuesday and expressed support for the resolution which should be approved by the Town Board. The resolution recognizes the individuals who are making a personal sacrifice for our nation. Anyone who falls into this category should contact the Receiver of Taxes at 993- 1512.
