SCARSDALE BOMB THREAT, RYE ABDUCTION SCARE ....

This week there were two bomb threats at Scarsdale High School. There have been abduction attempts in Rye. A few years ago I suggested that school districts consider the possibility of hiring a police officer to devote all his/her attention to the schools-keeping our kids safe.. The Central 7 School district took advantage of the offer. The school district is paying for half the cost. The town is absorbing the other half of the cost. All the other school districts rejected the invitation.
School districts are independent of the town government. If other school districts want to revisit the issue -- I'd be more than happy to push for the funding of such an officer. PAUL FEINER
