THE COMBINATION OF TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM THE SINGLE DIGITS TO 15 DEGREES WITH NORTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO AS HIGH AS 35 MPH WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILL VALUES RANGING FROM 0 TO -10. WIND CHILLS BELOW ZERO COULD LEAD TO FROSTBITE OR HYPOTHERMIA FOR ANYONE EXPOSED TO THE COLD.

AS OF 1000 HOURS, THE FOLLOWING WIND SPEEDS AND WIND CHILLS HAVE BEEN RECORDED:
WESTCHESTER COUNTY AIRPORT
DIRECTION = NORTH WEST
SUSTAINED SPEED = 18 MPH
GUSTS SPEED = 28 MPH
WIND CHILL = -9 DEGREES
Transportation:
· Bee-Line buses and Par-transit vehicles started service at approximately 11:30 a.m. Due to poor road conditions, passengers
should anticipate some delays.
· Haverstraw/ Ossining Ferry will not operate today.
· Westchester County Airport is open. Due to inclement weather, passengers are urged to contact their airline before coming to the airport in case of potential delays or cancellations.
· Amtrak Acela Express and Northeast Regional service will operate with reduced frequency. Amtrak Empire Service is expected to operate a normal schedule.
· Today, all MNRR lines (Hudson, Harlem, New Haven) will operate on a Saturday schedule and about 60% of normal service (depending on time of day).
· No major road closures have been reported in Westchester County. There is a Speed Restriction on the Tappan Zee Bridge.
