12 year old girl who has survived 5 heart surgeries to speak at Town Board meeting Wed 2/12

Jennifer A. Reilly is a  a twelve-year-old girl who was born with Tricuspid Atresia and a Ventricular Septal Defect.  Her parents were unaware that the number one birth defect is a congenital heart defect.  One in every hundred newborns has a congenital heart defect.   She has  successfully under gone five heart surgeries, two open heart, one closed heart and two catherizations.  She survived all of these surgeries before the age of four, and today is a bright and active twelve-year-old girl. 

Jennifer will be attending Wednesday nights Town Board meeting which begins at 7:30 PM. She will accept a proclamation from the Greenburgh Town Board declaring February 7-14th as Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Week. Similar proclamations are being issued by local, county and state governments in all 50 states.
