Governor's consolidation efforts inspires local follow up
Release Date: February 26, 2014

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced today that he is stepping up efforts to cut property taxes and to reward individual taxpayers within communities that comply with the tax cap and consolidate services. Residents will receive a tax credit from the state if local governments comply.  I am interested in following up on the Governors initiatives by exploring consolidation/sharing opportunities.  I’m planning to form a shared services initiative which will brainstorm with government entities to achieve these goals. We must begin to think of the overburdened taxpayers and to make every effort to create more efficiencies within the governmental bodies within Greenburgh. If we all work together we can achieve the goals announced by the Governor today.

E mail me if you would are interested in being a part of this effort. My e mail is pfeiner@greenburghny.com

This is the new website the Governor created: http://www.cutpropertytaxes.ny.gov/supporters
