Greenburgh Town Supervisor Paul Feiner announced that the first two community meetings away from Town Hall to discuss the 20 million library expansion proposal and other topics of interest have been scheduled: WEDNESDAY, January 19th-----7:30 PM, GreenvilleSchool(in Edgemont) THURSDAY, January 27-----------7 PM(snow date: Feb 3d), VirginiaRoadSchool(ValhallaSchool district). Members of the Library Board are invited to discuss the expansion proposal in greater detail and to answer questions from the community. They will also be provided with an opportunity to discuss the reasons why they prefer a special referendum to take place in the spring (extra cost to hold a special referendum is $30,000 for inspectors) rather than in November, when town elections are held. Other topics of community concern can be brought up at these meetings. All department heads and members of the Town Board have been invited to attend the meetings as well. Feiner said that he is also organizing small coffees in people’s homes to discuss the library expansion. One coffee has already been scheduled for January 31st.
