On Tuesday August 26, 2014 the Village of Ardsley will commence with the paving of Ashford Avenue. The work will originate at Rt. 9A and continue to Western Drive, both lanes for this day. Due to the nature of this procedure (laying in place, rolling multiple times and curing time) this section of Ashford Avenue will be inaccessible until 4:00 pm. Residents on the Western side of Ashford Avenue can use Lincoln Avenue to Taft Lane to access Ashford and Bramblebrook Rd to access Rte. 9A. Residents on King Street, Park Ave. , Orlando and Fairmont Cul de Sac will have access between 7:00 am and 9:00 am only. All other residents on the Eastern side of Ashford will have to use Mt. View to Abington to Ashford.  Residents on Ashford Avenue will have to make arrangements to move vehicles for the day. 

On Wednesday August 27, 2014 we will continue the work on Ashford Avenue from Western Drive to the Village line. This section will be inaccessible from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm. Detours will be set in place, but it is highly recommended that this area be avoided on this day. Every effort is being made to lessen the impact to traffic, but again, due to the nature of the work and the layout of the streets, all these steps are necessary to restore Ashford Avenue to pre-storm conditions.
