Civil Rights agency is currently seeking objective, well-organized individuals of all ages, sex, races, and nationalities to assist us in preventing housing discrimination in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties. We are hiring part-time housing discrimination testers, sometimes know as "mystery shoppers" to staff our testing team.
Participants should have good communication skills, be comfortable role-playing and providing detailed information on a strict deadline, have access to a car, and be able to provide a few hours during the day/weekday/weekend. Training for the assignment is paid and will last four hours. Each assignment will be paid on an hourly basis.
By using standardized forms that report what transpired during the test, such as the nature of the assistance given, the number, type and location of units shown, the terms and conditions offered, and so on, federal and state investigative and enforcement agencies, such as HUD and the Department of Justice, can make a determination whether or not discrimination occurred.
Please send resume: acalderon@wroinc.org or call 914 428-4507 x.336.
